Our Philosophy
Advance Speech was founded with a simple goal: to make quality speech therapy easier to access and more meaningful for the people who need it most.
Drawing on years of experience in hospital and community settings, Advance Speech offers support that bridges the gap between medical recommendations and real-life needs. We understand that after receiving a diagnosis or being discharged from care, it’s not always clear what to do next. Advance Speech was built to offer clarity, direction, and practical support. We want to help you move forward with confidence.
We also recognize that therapy isn't just about fixing problems. It’s about building trust, connection, and communication in ways that are meaningful and supportive. That philosophy shapes everything we do, from pediatric play-based sessions to complex adult rehabilitation.
Therapy is offered in-home, online, or in community locations, bringing support directly into the environments where it matters most.
Jeff is a Speech-Language Pathologist living in the Lower Mainland. To him, speech and language is about so much more than saying words; it's about connection. Whether it's children just learning to talk or adults recovering from a life-changing event, Jeff uses a client-centered approach to help clients build confidence and take control of their goals. He uses expert-knowledge and evidence-based therapy to reveal what every person is truly capable of.
Jeff completed his master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of British Columbia in 2015. Since then he has worked in high-intensity stroke rehabilitation, outpatient neurology, and child development.
Jeff is a Clinical Instructor with UBC's Faculty of Medicine and was the 2021 recipient of the Elizabeth MacLeod Award for Excellence in Clinical Education.
